Paula Mitchell, Frisco, TX

I lived in Dallas Texas for 28 years, was a free lance Graphic Designer,
raised two fantastic sons and I loved every minute of it. In 2005, I decided
to move back to my hometown of Evansville, Indiana and I began teaching
Graphic Design at Ivy Tech Community College at night and worked in the
marketing department at American General as a Senior Design Specialist
during the day.

While working at American General, I had a Grand Maul seizure and found
out that I had a benign brain tumor. The recovery took about 2 years and I
had to relearn all the things I use to do on the computer, all over again.
Thank you for my two sisters who took care of me those two years, I will
always be grateful.

Needless to say, I was let go from American General in August of 2009
and could not find a full time job and debated about going home to my
boys in Texas. I was working three part time jobs just to keep afloat. One
day, I just happened to find Art Without Boundaries and my world has
changed significantly.

Just the thought of rewiring the brain intrigued me and I was interested in
not only helping me get back some of my short term memory loss, but also
helping others as well. A new career in MnemeTherapy was on the horizon!

I decided to do my training and get my certification as a MnemeTherapist
in Evansville and then move to Texas to open my practice. I look forward
to making a difference with Art Without Boundaries in the Dallas area.
