Art Without Boundaries™ |
Linda J. Bean, Gainesville, FL As a child, Art was my favorite subject in school – besides recess. My parents encouraged my interest by providing me with private Art lessons. Later, I graduated from University of Central Florida with a BA of Arts, with a concentration in Photography. I also took a lot of studio courses in drawing, painting, printmaking, and ceramics. I worked as an Illustrator at the University of Central Florida for several years. Painting and Photography are my favorite media. I’ve been married to a most wonderful man since 1982. We’ve had the opportunity to live in many interesting places including Sydney, Australia, and Caversham, England. I enjoyed drawing and painting in both settings. We’ve settled in North Central Florida in the Gainesville area. Before AWB, I worked for a nonprofit organization, as the Office Manager. My favorite part was connecting with people and being of service. I am very impressed with the work that AWB is doing with children and adults who are suffering from Autism, Alzheimer’s, and other diseases, and am proud to be part of this beautiful and important work that uses creativity to develop compassion and connect with and help others.. |
